This guy been trying to sell this lid for over a year. If first appeared with damage. Now he's had it repaired. I think I saw listings last year where it stated it had been repaired. He said his reserve was $450 in one of his earlier listing. Problem is unless this lid has been stored in a low humidity place, the filler would likely need to be removed since it's been sitting for many months.
I stripped more of the paint from my trunk lid today. It looks a little better and I can tell better where the damage is.
The major dent areas are outlined in pink. The green shows where the metal is very thin.
It looks like the skin will have to be removed. This are almost no holes in the frame and without access to the back it would be very difficult to get a good repair.
The likely size of the patch would be the area shown in the pink line, with the other damage being repaired. This could change when I get the skin off and can examine the back side.
