I thought about cloning but decided to keep my 69 vert a Lemans. Its got some GTO re-pop parts on it but only because they were a lot easier to find. Nobody repops the Lemans rear light lenses and bezels. And of course the 455 was not a 69 option, but the big engine makes a whole lot more fun to drive than it was with the 350.
Funny thing is my car is the only nice 69 vert with Lemans badges and no hood scoops that I have personally seen in years, but I've seen a bunch of 69 GTOs and Judges (clones or not.) My Lemans may not be worth near as much as a GTO, but with all the cloning it has become a really rare car. That in itself seems to get it a lot of attention.
