If somebody paid top dollar for what they thought was the real thing then they are to blame and should be mad at themselves and/or the seller. If somebody's pissed they spent 90 grand on a well documented Judge but they guy next to them at the cruise night has the same thing for 70 grand less with a LeMans VIN then they need to decide what the purpose of owning the high doller car is to them. The most they will get there is resale value and bragging rights. We all know there are more Judges, SS Chevelle's, GSX's and so on than GM ever built. To hate because one can't afford or justify the cost but really wants the car is pretty harsh. But on the flip side I will agree that if an individual is bragging up something they don't have then they are wrong and they know it and they have to live with it.
