Don, if there is a warranty on the AZ starter take it back, and get your money refunded, before it runs out. Then get one at NAPA. PepBoys and AZ usually have only a 90 day warranty where NAPA will be for 12 months.

I won't swear to it but I'm pretty sure the AZ starter is no good. If you happen to have a spare have it rebuilt. You could take the AZ starter to NAPA and use it as a core to get another one, if you no longer have a warranty on it. And save your shims to reuse if you have any in now.
