FWIW - I sold cars (Cadillac/Chevy/Subaru). My brother sold cars (Cadillac/Saturn/Toyota/Nissan). My Dad sold cars (Oldsmobile/Cadillac/Buick/Pontiac/GMC/AMC/Opel/Renault).

I no longer sell cars, but still work on a daily basis with Ford/GM/Chrysler/Nissan/Toyota dealers in a related industry.

I enjoyed working in the automotive industry as I am passionate about cars and I liked working with customers to help them find the right vehicle for their needs - but the hours (as you know) suck, and the income isn't always stable. In my new position -my hours are much better (8 - 5, no weekends, all holidays off) and my income is much greater.

If I could make what I do now and have those hours I'd go right back into selling cars today!

I have great respect for automobile sales people that take their profession seriously (as it appears you do). I have a very low tolerance for sales people that don't treat customers with respect or know their product.
