There was a thread on the Buick board about Rick's car. There are a lot of ticked off Buick guys that are outraged that a "little 400" could run so fast, so they all accused him of cheating. I'm not sure why they were so upset, but I guess some were ticked off because no one had heard of Rick until a couple years ago, and suddenly he appears, and kicks butt.
Jim and Frank Mino's Ram Air II cars dominating way back in the 80's at these Pure Stock events, but perhaps some of the younger Buick racers just got into the Pure Stock thing in the past 10 years, so they aren't aware of the history. |
