Royal Pontiac's engineering back room Ram Air systems'
Remember I told you that Ace Wilson's Royal Pontiac's back room became PMD's engineering/experimental/road test group after regular dealership service dept hours. Here are Royal Pontiac's 1964 Tri-power Cowl induction Ram Air system and what was to be the "real" defintion of Ram Air IV. Four inlets of bringing air into the carb. Two from the hood scoops and two from the front of the car. Thus, four air inlets.
The setup is on the Lime Light Green GTO Ram Air IV, engineering/press car/ Magazine/mule/ that became the Judge/magazine/Ram Air III/PMD's ad car/fake Ram Air V/ and Jim Wanger's/Royal Pontiac's Woodward Ave street racer.....Boy is that a mouth full!!!!
