Hobby, the belt moulding was on the car when I bought it. I think it is a dealership type moulding addition. It holds a strip of a once pliable rubber or ? material that was hardened to rock and cracked. I'm still deciding on what to do with the moulding/strip. If I can find a strip to use in the moulding I'll probably keep it and replace the strip. It's actually not a bad looking accessory and does a great function. I also don't look forward to closing up all the rivet holes that would be left after removing it. Just have not gotten that far yet. HEY, how about a neon light strip down the side, you know, computer controlled so it would move back and forth, yeah dats it, cool. OR, maybe not, heh! Mark L
