Some things to think about: Is it a numbers matching car, are you keeping it or plan on selling it, what about the vin plate? That's what would worry me.
I have a numbers matching 68 convertible. I don't think I'd buy a new body if they made it, but that's just me. My vin is stamped on the firewall too. You're not gonna get that with a new body.
I would think it would drop the value of the car. But if you plan on keeping the car and depending on how much rust you have, this could be a good option. How much is it?
