Considering you are going to boost the engine I'll consider the fuel system cost is a push between EFI and a carb (you'll need volume and pressure regulator for both). With a $700 intake manifold on my Buick 455, I have around $1500 in the EFI setup on my Buick 455, with a 4-bar map sensor, full fuel and timing control with a MegaSquirt 2.
