Ford went to the strongly retro styled Mustang and sales have dropped like a rock.
Ford sold 166,530 in 2006. 2010 sales were 73,716 and 2011 sales are 65,831.
This sales drop came despite the fact that the Mustang finally received a V8 powerplant with some balls in 2011. Further proof that most people that buy Mustangs aren't interested in performance at all, they must think they're "cute" - just like those 1974 - 78 Pinto Mustangs....
