bryansMtngto, I posted this out of frustration with a person that didn't honestly describe items for sale. Maybe someone else on this board can benefit from my experience yet to be played out. As I posted soon after, he agreed to accept a return even though his auctions state "no returns accepted."

I'm relieved that he agreed to refund, but disappointed that the description was not accurate--and that I still don't have usable '64 GTO grilles.

Judging from his response, I don't expect problems getting the refund put in my PayPal account. Below is the correspondence through eBay so far:

Dear joparts,

I received the grilles today. You did not indicate in your description that these had been welded. The polishing was done well, but repairs were done poorly. In addition, the right hand grille is misshapen around the headlight area so it will not fit over the headlight assembly. I absolutely cannot use either of these grilles.

I will return the grilles in your packaging after you refund the auction amount ($250) via PayPal. I will cover the return shipping charges.

I prefer not to settle this through eBay Buyer Protection, but directly with you, the seller.
