I just took it for its first ride, and untuned, it feels as fast as my procharged 80 formula. The 80 formula puts down over 600 HP and torque to the ground, so I'm using it as a gauge. Will hit the chassis dyno in a month or two to tune it.

IMO There is a lot going for the Tiger heads over the Edelbrock Pro-ports. They are a proven power maker. They are AVAILABLE right now! The head is rolled over to 12 degrees which keeps them legal for sanctioned racing classes that require no more than a 2 degree change in valve angle. The 11 degree Proport won't fit within those rules. There are 460 + CFM programs already developed for the Tigers and Allpontiac has a great intake manifold developed for them. No way the old Victor manifold will be able to match the the capabilities of a 460 CFM head. Sheetmetal manifolds.... $$$$$..... aren't legal in many classes and if they are you get hit with a weight penalty if you do run one. I can't see how the 11 degree Proport head with its shorter valves can come close to outflowing the Tigers. The 12.6 degree head won't even come close.... It may sound like I'm slamming the E heads, but I'm not. I'm sure the casting quality will be great and I really like how Edelbrock have addressed the cooling and oil drain back issues. I just can't see how they can compete with the likes of the Kauffman High ports or the Tiger heads at a competitive price.
