I always click my motor off at the finish line and restart on the return road. Hot lapping at the end of the year(and letting it run too long in the staging lanes), I wasn't able to get it started on the return road once. I've got a small Denso 50 amp alternator sitting on the shelf and thought I might try putting it on for next season. It only weighs 6 lbs and with the 4.5 stroke motor I'm building, I don't intend to spin it a lot of rpm's. If I don't like it, can always take back off.
