Well, the cowboy math by weight, ET, and MPH indicates that I'm already at that level or just above. The cam change, while not a huge difference, should pick up another 20 or 30 if the plan comes together
The old cam is a Harold Brookshire solid roller(263/
[email protected] 108lsa .650" net) that was ground for the old 421. I'be been using it for the past two years in the 496 and now that freshen up time is here and the car seems to be stuck in the 10.0x range, a proper cam for the bigger engine was most cost effective change to make. The new cam is also from Harold, and is 268/278 108lsa, .710" net, and a touch fatter at. 200" than the last one.
So, I don't really care what the HP value is, as long as long as the ET goes to single digits I'lll be happy.
