Just curious...
I actually witnessed a derailment at a rural crossing...no collision...just saw cars going straight up into the air. Two guys from the caboose got out and started counting cars from the last derailed car to the caboose. When we asked why...they stated that this was how they guaged the severity...how many cars from the caboose it got to. This one...oddly enough...was thirteen. Any truth to that? Ron
