look at a company called the right stuff. i have right stuff kits on my 68 and 69 firebirds. both cars stop great and everything is brand new and looks correct.booster, master, rotors, calipers, stainless lines, spindles everything needed. all brand new. running 14 7 rallys on both cars. the caliper brackets where the only problem as stated. the 69 i used a gm set of brackets because the ones from the company where hitting. the 68 i used the companys brackets. i grinded the heck out of them to get them to clear and still no good.tried several differant 14 7 wheels all fit the same. took the brackets with me to the next swap meet the right stuff was at and the owner gave me another set .this set fit ok on the one side but still had to grind the top of the other. seems to be a little variation in the shape and bends of the brackets between venders.worst case you might have to look for factory brackets if you cant get theirs to work. if you are doing a points car or high dollar restoration guess it would be worth buying a used set and having everything replated and rebuilt but for the average restoration i am sold on the new repro stuff available. just my opinion because iam happy with the looks and how the cars stop now but to each his own.
