Stock 70 model 14" wheels will clear the oem '69-72 A-body GM disc brackets. The reason 14" wheels are mentioned as not fitting in these "kits" is the early 4 3/4 bolt pattern drum brake wheels ('64-68) will not clear with oem disc brakes. By making a blanket statement, these companys are just watching out for themselves. Personally I will not use the Chinese disc spindles or the cheap aftermarket caliper brackets. I do buy repro dust shields, as they present no problems for most restorers. Only exception, for a cutting edge concours resto, they are not correct, incorrect finish & no stamped part numbers.
