I can not believe that none of the self proclaimed Chevy Truck guys haven’t mentioned this yet: What American Vehicle did Hot Rod Magazine give the award as the fastest American Vehicle IIRC 1973 or 1974??? And no, shocking even then, it wasn’t the Super Duty Pontiac.

IIRC: It was either the 1973 or 1974 Big Block 454 C-10 Chevy Truck was named the fastest Muscle Car of the Year by Hot Rod (?) magazine. I remembered reading that in disbelief. Chevy guys can feel free to chime in with the details. As I remember it from back then, it was a Red Step-side that was featured in the article.

I don't buy that a bit either; a 250 Horse 455 T/A was quicker then those, and I guess they never heard of the SD-455 those years ?
