I bought a 2000 Chevy Silverado LT (5.3 ) , brand new. It has treated me well. Except: 1) I replace the window "winder" on each door every other year. and 2)There is a little Diesel sound in the cooler weather. It lasts about 15-20 seconds. I have been told that it is a wrist pin clearance issue, is 'normal'., and not to worry about it.....105,000 miles now. If I were to buy a new pick-up todat, I would probably go FORD F-250...based on looks alone . I haven't researched powertrain, etc. Eric
