My error: I should have specified that didn't apply to you. Friend bought a 5.3 about 10 years ago. I can say it was very impressive in power compared to the 350 V8s trucks of the 70s.
I would have never bought a new truck, but at work there's an monthly allowance benefit towards what they call a "company car" or you can keep the money. Honestly, as good as my Ecoboost has performed I'd rather go back to socking the money away. Call me paranoid, I just don't trust this economy. Especially with 4 kids.
