EVER HEARD OF EMISSION SPECS??? That is what has killed many successful diesel engines, not the fact they weren't good engines. Try reading up on EPA regs on diesels starting, oh let's say starting about in the 1980s. Little things like sulfur dioxide emissions, particulates, noise...........
