He may have crashed a number of cars in the past, but currently he's one of the leaders in the Nationwide series. I repeat, his average finish is 11.6 in the Nationwide Series, so how can you claim, "The NASCAR Officials were probably surprised that both Hornish Jr and Danica were still running and going to finish the race, which is rare for the both of them, that they let it go"?

I don't think many people in racing are worried about Danica getting picked on. It's well known that she is getting preferential treatment, and most race fans are opposed to it.
And as Sirrotica so eloquently pointed out, NASCAR is going to counsel the little princess.
