Ford's powertrain warranty is only good for 60,000 miles.
A guy that uses his truck can easily put on 50,000+ miles per year.
Ford sold over 15,000 of them in September of 2011 - thats 17 - 18 months ago. Someone that bought one when they were first introduced would only have had to put 3300- 3400 miles on per month to be out of the short Ford powertrain warranty.
If the Ford dealer hasn't been able to fix the problem under warranty, why would you continue to bring it to them and pay dealer shop rates?
If you google "F150 Ecoboost Problems", you will get plenty of results with unsatisfied F150 owners.
