I vote for Ron being welcome here. That's the great thing about the PY boards, as long as people behave with civility (outside the clubhouse) they are welcome.
I will say though Ron, you really didn't read the thread. Dr. Schiffer made it very clear within his first few posts that ALL of the cars/racers lost SOME races, including the Blackbird AND including the Silver Bullet.
I don't recall anyone here ever implying that the Blackbird never lost a race OR that the Silver Bullet never won a race.
The '67 GTX has always been my favorite with the '70 a very close second.
Speaking of the '67 GTX, there is one very near my home, factory GTX, also silver and with black interior.
It has been sitting in the front 'driveway' of a very small (I'd say two rooms) house in the country for the 18 years that I have known of it...and it was obviously sitting for some time before that... I have been tempted many times over the years to knock on the door to see what the deal was on it but the house just looks so UN-inviting. Also, there are about 30 Mopars sitting in the woods behind the house. That tells me that this guy don't sell cars.
Finally, just two weeks ago, I finally got my answer. He has placed a rope blocking the driveway across the back of the car, with a sign on the trunk... Two words are printed on the sign....KEEP OUT.
