Default My first car

Scratch built for me by my Dad.

He put me in it at 4 and said no instruction was necessary - I took right to it.

I do not recall ever being "supervised".

It ran on gasoline; about as fast as a riding mower.

The '55 Chevy shown in the background was brand new.

It had forward and reverse.

Hand hammered steel bodywork with a cut-down Lasalle gril.

The dual sidepipes were functional.

It was featured in Popular Science and The Cleveland Plain Dealer.
