I guess you mean record for the
class. I'll also venture a guess that the car runs as a "lakester" in F/BFL (since that record is two-sixty-something; I think 262). Lakesters (open wheel) and streamliners comprise the Special-Construction division of landspeed racing- vehicles not derived from any manufactured car, truck, etc. Class 'F' engines are up to 184 c.i., so I assume that the offset grinding of crank throws was to
reduce the stroke to something less than 3.75".
These numbers are all familiar to me, since I'll be building a blown-alky 'F' engine for my lakester (4-cyl. DOHC aluminum hemi Pontiac).
