I decided to install a disk brake kit instead of replacing front drums!!
I installed kit 2 weeks ago and do like it.
Only wondering if anyone else installed one of these kits with vacuum booster and master cylinder, spindles, calipers, hub, back plate etc...all at the same time?
What I noticed is the travel on the brake petal goes further down before any braking. Petal is firm, but have not slammed on brakes yet to check for sudden stops, wanted to brake in first.
Is there anything to check?
check your brake lines, did you replace them at all? bleed them?
i installed the kit in my el camino and it was funky at first but i changed the lines and bled them, it worked like a champ.
