A Canadian Pontiac fan familiar with the cars from that era was the one who told me about the Canadian destined cars and how GM of Canada kept the Firebird's higher price in place even after GM of US dropped it for the 72 model year cars. Very tricky of them to try to grab another couple hundred bucks.
