Thanks for the compliments. My buddy Axle is really hip on the old hot rods and had some great ideas for my build. Deep down I'm really a GTO guy and that's the reason I sold the 61 Ventura to build this car. Obviously I didn't want to chop up a real GTO so I used a Tempest Custom for the donor. I have the 66 GTO race car which is all tube chassis, slammed/ pretty low and runs fairly fast. With this build, I really just wanted something completely different. More of a hot rod, but still had to have a Pontiac. So going old school, ,, Gasser fit the bill. The other thing that I kinda had in mind is, most people don't expect a Gasser to be a 7 second rocket, so if I take this to the track and run 10's I don't think it will disapoint anyone. Anyway, I didn't build this to be a race car. I already have that with the 66. I just wanted a hot rod that looked cool, that I could come home from work on Friday, turn the key and go hit the local cruise night. Hopefully nobody tries to egg me on at a stop light with a chevy or ford on the way home though cuz I'd really hate to make them feel bad

,,,,,,,, Hey, It's in my blood
Blueghoast, Thanks Man. You see that smile on my face ? That's the way I drive around. It cracks me up when you see pictures of these guys with their cars and they try to look all tough and serious. I'm happy as $h1t when I get to drive my car.
