Carry a cheap cigarette lighter air compressor and a plug kit. The tire slime is semi-effective, makes a big mess, and when it comes time to properly repair the tire, a patch won't adhere to the inside surface readily due to the contaminated surface. Tire slime is nasty stuff, IMO. Plug it on the road and be done with it.
