I picked up a xv block a few years ago and did some digging to find out what it was. I googled it and found an article on the 70 t-37. The engine was an optional 400 330hp for the automatic and believe it or not, it stated that if you ordered a 4-speed you would get the ws block.
I have the xv block in my 69.
