I did buy the short turn pipes from Ram Air restoration on recommendation.

Thanks Todd, I had a feeling they would fit. I ran one on my 4 cyl and had my friend custom bend a 2.5" exhaust. HE said the bend off the manifold was tough. I talked to R.A.R.E in Norwalk and he said they make a 2.5 inch pipe for the Tempest. They were not in the catalog when I ordered it and the order taker didn't tell me about them either. Sounds like these short turn pipes were sure worth it!
