What year heads do you have on the engine. The vintage Air bracket mounts to the two bolt bosses on the side of the head. The Classic Auto Air bracket mounts to the bolt holes on the front of the head.
This set up is on a 79 TA, using the stock GM AC. The only change is converting to a Sanden compressor, using the Vintage Air Snaden bracket

RE: VA Bracket
Either thats a new one, or an old one, or they have more that one Pontiac application because my VA bracket, installed new 2 yrs ago, mounts to the front only.
