Not to distract from the RAII thread, but the Knafel 67/68 FB confusion was in part due to Knafel.
Bill put out 2 different lists of the cars.
One list did not have a 67 FB listed, only the 68. This stated the 68 was a paint and show car.
Another list stated a 67 FB only as a paint and show car. No mention of a 68. (That has to be the list Steve has on his site.
The Knafel ad for the 68 1/2 shows the 67 FB.
Being the 68 FB pictures show a round driver mirror, which points to a very early car. You would think that the 68 would have been ready and used in a 68 1/2 ad.
The AMT model is listed as a 68 on the cover with no wing windows, but it is a 67 body.
I figured for the longest time that there was only one car and the 68 was the 67 with marker lights and door modifications.
