I recommend repairing yours even if the car is no longer a numbers matching all original. If all original by all means only replace the frame if you absolutely have to. Your frame has the car's partial VIN, plant manufacturer and the proper date code the GTO was born with. They're stamped into the left rear rail. Sorry to hear about your mom.
