Yeah, my Dad taught me how to fix things, how to lay bricks, pour concrete, build a wall, fix a roof, fix cars, use hand tools....which until I joined the airforce and found how many other trade trainees had no idea how to use a file, I hadn't thought much about.
I owe my Dad a lot, I see some of him in me now - how I am these days now that I'm the age he was when I was small.
My Dad got to see Haley's Comet twice in his life.....lost him 20 odd years back.
RIP, Dad.
