Tire/Wheel info

Out back I am using a beefed up 72 Nova 8.5" rear which is 60.5" wide (mounting face to mounting face) approx 2+" wider than stock. I purchased the two 7" (actually closer to 8") steel repop rims from the ThePartsPlace...these have over 4.5" backspace! (w/ a 4.75" pattern)...I mounted BF Goodrich Radial TAs 255 60 15s .... I was very concerned about being too close but luck was on my side....I think I could have mounted 275 60 15s! Most people that have seen the car love the meats on the back.
Up front I mounted P205 60 15s ... on some used 6" Impala rims (4.75" pattern) I blasted and painted. I had the rotors and hubs redrilled to the 4.75" pattern ($70 for both) at the local fab shop...they did it correctly based off true center ($ well spent). Thus I can run the 64-72 poverty caps and basically any 4.75 pattern wheels! and have a single spare.
