I think that car probably looked cool in the 80s but is pretty tacky now. The problem with "updating" a car when customizing is that the updates themselves get dated (ie. square headlamps, landau top, diamond pleat). Especially when they turned out to be short-lived trends, and not classic features. At least the wire wheels tie it all together.
It would be an OK nostalgic custom, but unfortunately the original design was perfect as-is, a timeless design.
