Yes, the original windage tray went back in.
The baffle I added is to prevent the oil from rushing forward under during decelleration. The gentle slope of the pan from the sump to the front that is inherent in the Pontiac pan design is what creates the problem of the oil pickup sucking air during braking. The later 1970's pans had the baffle built in to prevent the problem.
The windage tray serves a different purpose: it is for keeping oil away from the rotating crankshaft and rods during operation. It reduces the parasitic loss from the crank having to spin in a constant tornado of oil droplets.
