Hey Ross -

Yeah, I feel your pain. Trying to talk to a neighbor can be a challenging event. If speaking with the owner does not work, then maybe a juicy steak with sleeping pills in it would help the dog relax and not bark. It's worth a shot.

My next door neighbor has a Scotty and it's the dumbest dog I have ever seen. Everything is fine when I'm in his territory, but when I go back to my side, it will start barking again. The neighbor does not know what to do so I often go over and befriend the dog. At times a garden hose works for a short period of time as well.
