Chrome-A -Lite is fine as a filler. Get the dent or metal as close to original height as possible to keep filler as thin as possible. Should not exceed 1/4".

I've used filler in conditions colder than 50* and while not ideal it will still work. At that temp plan on sanding it the following day and it may still be gummy on the surface but when the top surface is gone it will sand and feather OK. If you want to speed it up just put a heat lamp on the filler and it will harden much faster.
