As you can see from the first photo, they were in perfect condition for an incorrect, flat piece of 18 gauge steel, that is. :-)
They were prepped properly when the guy handcrafted them 25 years ago. They were just wrong and it bugged me to look at them. They were also missing any type of drainage hole. I used a hole saw and cut a 1" hole in the bottom when I power washed the trunk floor, so the water could run out.
