They discontinued that engine in 71 I think, leaving a gap between the base and the solid lifter Lt1, then they brought back a similar version in 73 or 74 the L82.
Ex girlfriend had a Vette and I learned a little about 'em.
I prefer the lighter small block over the front wheels for better handling
