I can understand your question but I will try to add a few extra bits of info.

Ed lives on the east coast in New Hampshire. Butler is in Tennessee, 18 Hrs away, Steve Morris is in Michigan, 18 Hrs away. Marty Palbykin is in Tucson, Az. Forget going out there. BES is 14 hours away.

BES is the closest, they have lots of engine trophys from the Engine Masters competition, BES had built a few Boosted engines, they were an hour or so away from Lynn. On a first cut it was an assumed no brainer maybe for Ed.
