Maybe some can educate me on the hanging of the engine...From what I can tell, the seal doesn't have oil pressure on it. There appears to be a hole in the bottom of the main cap where the oil drains through and the oil slinger on the crank is supposed to re-direct oil away from the seal. I know that hanging the engine to see if there are any leaks is supposed to test out the integrity of the repair...but I wonder how many engine that are not oil tight still run without any issues with leaks from the rear main?
