I have an HO repro intake from our host as well. Yes, they do look like the photos posted but I have iron intakes from 68, 69 and 70 and frankly they don't look much better. I have reworked the repro HO intake by grinding and adding fuel resistent epoxy where needed. It looks much better now and aligns quite well with the gaskets.
Also, it fit perfectly on the new 455/KRE heads, with the bolt holes aligning nicely as well. I cannot say that for ANY Edelbrock intake I have bought in the past 25 years and have become accustomed to spending an extra $100-$125 each time to have the flanges machined because out of the box they won't even bolt to the engine.
