Remember the 1975 & 76 Z28s? Right - there were none...but plenty of Trans Ams made and sold to fill the void (which many PYrs proudly own). Ultimately Chevy got the last laugh with the demise of Pontiac.

NaBob or not, makes no sense to me that GM would take an ingrained Z28 price point package to the consumer market and attempt to "create" another high water model. Sure, perhaps the intent is to emulate the 1969 offering which the retro styling is based, that makes sense.

However, as pointed out previous here, the sheer numbers of 2nd Gen Z28s sold from 1970 1/2 through 1981 water down any preconceived "new track performance" Z28 model IMO.

Ultimately it doesn't matter to me either way. Driving the current gen Camaro with the high doors and window slots make it something that I do NOT want to drive, and makes our 2nd Gen Birds (which are big cars by modern standards) seem smaller with more actual vision of the surroundings.
