I'm not sure where you're coming from because the Camaro has been given a facelift both inside and out - how is this "not about being able to tool up to change things to attract customer interest?" The Z/28 is a brand-new model that has attracted customer interest to the nth degree, and Chevy should be congratulated for keeping this under wraps so well. Perhaps it doesn't satisfy your sensibilities, but at this point GM is going to milk the current car for all its worth until the next-gen Camaro (which is already known to be smaller and lighter than the current version) is ready for market.
