Lightbulb Camaro to become new Impala SS

...Dubbed simply the SS, the V-8 powered, rear wheel drive sedan will be available this fall as a 2014 model. Built in Australia, based on the new Holden VF Commodore and sharing Zeta chassis architecture with the Camaro, the SS is powered by a 415hp variant of GM's LS3 V-8. A six-speed automatic transmission, with optional manual shifting using steering control wheel-mounted paddles, is the only choice available...and near 50/50 weight distribution...Pricing will be announced in the fall, but with Camaro SS starting at $35,000 and the new Corvette out the gate at $55,000, we'd wager that the SS will split the difference.
This reminds me of the Lincoln LS chassis that was used in the 2005 and newer Mustang and GT 500s (Ford D2C platform).
